TransportAzumah believes that the only sustainable transit systems are hybrids of public and private mass transit operations. It is well known that private transit systems are only geared to supply service that is profitable. It is less well known that public sector systems have a tendency to supply service on parameters other than demand and resources needed to meet demand, such as political influence and clientele. Obviously, this is not only unfair, it leads to wasted tax dollars.

We maintain a newsgroup known as MTA Gone Wild to highlight the problems that New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority is experiencing due to its own poor behavior as well as the behavior of its political patrons.
